Mission
The Sonnabend Collection Foundation’s mission is to preserve and share the renowned art collection assembled by Ileana and Michael Sonnabend, together with Antonio Homem and Nina Sundell. Based in New York, the Foundation makes this collection accessible to audiences around the world by lending works to museums and educational institutions, supporting learning, research, and a deeper understanding of postwar and contemporary art.

CURRENT
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, the new museum of contemporary art, Sonnabend Collection Mantova—one of the most important private collections of the twentieth century—opened in Mantova’s Palazzo della Ragione.
